The New Inquisition
Updates for my new CD
Ten new songs for my upcoming CD entitled "The New Inquisition" are finally finished and the CD should be out for duplication and packaging soon. I started this project over a year ago as possibly a new Mechanical Bride project. That didn't go far, so it's now my 5th solo CD to date.
The idea for The New Inquisition came about quite naturally. Every day, we stand trial in front of those who live in fear and need to find the reason for their fears in nearly everything we do. These are people who are obsessed with playing it safe, playing by the rules, and really not "playing" at all. We have become a culture under constant interrogation. The songs on this CD poke fun at how absurd we've become. How complacent we've become with being glorified zeros, and the worthlessness of the answers we get. I'd like to think that each song breaks it's obvious mold and takes it's theme out of the ballpark
Here's a look at the cover, and a couple tracks for you to download:
This CD features ten songs recorded here at SAXON SOUND in the Winter / Spring of 2008'. The music is a break from my usual heavy handed approach, and perhaps a bit more melodic than some of my previous outings - but if you like my material, you'll find a little of everything in these songs. I'll post more demos and masters as I complete the mixes on each.
